it doesnt suprise me that the college he was planning on playing for is telling the no-name catcher to fuck off while the dodgers havent punished the draftee pitcher.

the better player always seems to get off lighter in these circumstances.

Ethan Martin (15th pick of Dodgers) was playing shortstop. It was his brother, Cody Martin that was pitching. There is no reason for the Dodgers to punish the shortstop because his brother is (potentially) a moron, unless they know Ethan somehow orchestrated the whole beaning.

Truthfully, I think the catcher, Matt Hill. is most palpable in the incident. The pitcher threw a high fastball, which happens all the time. His catcher, however, quite clearly made no attempt to catch the ball and actually does all he can to dodge the ball so it is sure to hit the umpire. That is not something virtually never sees at baseball games.
