Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I was late.Mets already trail 1-0, which may be a good sign.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 That was an awesome home run by Hamilton , a flick of the wrists like Ron said and it was in the picnic area, reminded me of a Mo Vaughn homer.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Best. Interleague thread title. Ever.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Damn, Milton "Dinosaurs" Bradley is hitting .333 and 14 home runs already.
Guest attgig Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 How is Marlon Anderson still a part of the team much less batting 6th in our lineup?the dude has 9 hits all season...

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 This Texas team is definitely bad defensively. That first-inning single by Beltran made me think that high ERA isn't all the pitchers' fault.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 attgig - "How is Marlon Anderson still a part of the team much less batting 6th in our lineup? the dude has 9 hits all season... "Even worse for the Mets, Alou has all of 17 hits for the season. He was supposed to fill the #5 or #6 slot in the order for the season. Hell, I could have sat on the DL collecting paychecks, for a small fraction of what Alou costs.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Feldman gets nothing past anybody, does he?(As I type, he gets his first career hit.)
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 These are desperate times, so desperate measures are called for. I have decided to drink a different beer for each inning of this game in hopes that it will shake the Mets from their funk. If not, I figure I won't be as upset at the end of the game. Thus far my experiment has gone as follows:1st inning - Tecate2nd inning - Miller Lite (i know it hardly ranks as a beer, but i need 9)3rd inning - Saranac India Pale Ale 4th inning - Saranac Pale Ale5th inning - Saranac Adirondack LagerLet it not be said that I was not willing to do my part for the tweams cause.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Oliver is in deep trouble, two out and three on.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Come on Mets, I need some long innings, but this isn't exactly what I had in mind.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Gilbert asks: The last time the Rangers played at Shea (July, 1975), they had a complete game shutout. Who was the pitcher? There's that Texas defense.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Perez tells Murphy to grab some pine as he strikes him out on three pitches. Alright team, 3 or 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th would be greatly appreciated.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) 4-1 Mets. Just keep the pen away and we'll be fine.... Edited June 13, 2008 by Guest

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Let's beat the arms off of this shallow pen in game one. That's Oliver Perez tripling his RBI total.Tack-on runs rool.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Me - "Alright team, 3 or 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th would be greatly appreciated. The Mets tack on 4 runs in the 6th inning. Apparently, we just haven't asked nicely in the past.6th inning - Saranac Brown Ale - It was a good beer and a great inning.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Marlon Byrd is still in baseball? How about that?
