G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Hurrah for Junior. Shoulda come when we called, of course, but his has been a fabulous career even in the face of recurring injury. Never linked to mysteriously enhanced power as far as I can remember (remember when you didn't have to qualify your admiration of astounding home run totals?).
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Why are the Nationals wearing green hats tonight?Whatever the reason, they look horrible with their red and white unis.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Why, to commeorate Planet Green Day! (Scheduled for last week, rained out; maybe Mother Nature wasn't impressed by the color scheme.)
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 But of course! Green Day definitely deserves its own planet.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Congrats to Griffey , still love that swing , a line form the AP report that stood out for me , like it a lot.]The left-handed swinger launched a 3-1 pitch 413 feet into the right-field seatsI don't recall ever seeing a leftie described like that.
