Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Thanks for the line up, but I think you have an error in the Yankee line up. I think the first baseman is actually Thong Giambi.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Very nice morning today, really rainy and windy this afternoon and actually nice again now, though chilly.I woke up at 4:30 this morning. Seen it all.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 The Yankees' roster has been kind of looking like a hockey team's recently, keeping Duncan and Farnsworth aboard in case they need a bully.

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I detest Steve Phillips. Not really sure why.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Reyes opens the game with a ground out Wang to thong.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I'm glad the Yanq fans finally got what they want and don't have ARod playing.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Jeter throws out Wright on a soft groundball and Morgan and Miller get chapped lips kissing Capt. Intangibles ass. Granted his third baseman did miss the ball cutting acrtoss in front of Jeter, but it definitely wasn't a play worthy of effusive praise.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 They must have said Jeter at least 60 times and it's only 1 2/3's in.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Really liked that exchange between Miller and Morgan regarding the pick by Giambi on the Cano throw, Joe made me laugh.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I saw a dopey Old Spice commercial today where a guy is playing softball and he goes into a head first slide from second to home. It made me think of Jeter's slide yesterday--except that the guy in the commercial actually touched the base.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Morgan explaining that leadoff walks hurt you more than two-out walks.

I thought he said this But then I thought, "He really can't say something that ..... stupid, even if it is Joe Morgan."That said, there are a lot of things Yankee Stadium deserves.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 The Yankees' patch depicts a part of that stadium that hasn't existed for 35 years.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Jeter farts in dugout.Bat boy texts the booth.Joe texts back that he can't go there.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I may be falling in love with Ryan Church.
