Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 - Marlins wound up scoring 6 runs in the 9th to tie the Reds and I'm starting to think that maybe there IS going to be something going on down there this year ... and then they lost it in extras anyway.- Yanx held on for a 2-1 win and Joba did NOT do his fist-pumping, whirlling dervish, primal scream routine after K-ing the side (plus one walk) in the 8th.Such a classy guy.- And did anyone see Manny last night?O's have runners on 1st & 2nd w/1-out. Long drvie to LF which Manny catches on the dead run heading for - but still 4-5 strides short of - the wall.So rather than slamming on the brakes he continues his run and uses the wall to stop his momentum. But did so by running up the wall, taking a sec out to high-five a BoSox fan in the front row, before bouncing off and hitting the cut-off man at deep SS who then gunned the ball to first to catch the runner not yet back and complete the DP.Now I know what you're thinking: Manny hit a cut-off man?!?!?
