Haven't seen a thread for this for the new season.

I scored four seats for Sunday against the Brew Crew, Suppan v. Ollie, shades of the '06 playoffs.

I'm considering a trip to Shea this weekend. Keeping an eye on the weather. I don't want to make the trip if rain seems likely.

Sunday looks better than Saturday:

="National Weather Service"]Saturday: Occasional rain before noon, then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm between noon and 3pm, then a chance of rain and thunderstorms after 3pm. High near 57. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Sunday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

This is the only time the Brewers come to town, isn't it? Would a Saturday rainout mean a Sunday doubleheader?

Will be making my Shea debut tonight, and scored nice seats, though not Soupcan nice.

I was there on Sunday. Had the best seats I've had in a long time. Loge reserved seats in Section 1, right behind home plate. We were in Row H, which was a little too far back, but about halfway through we moved up to Row E, which was really great.

This was the first time at Shea for my daughter (6) and since my wife wasn't with us, I feared the bathroom situation. But there's a Family Restroom in the Loge right near the entrance to Section 5 and that worked very nicely.

Had to take the local from Grand Central to Willets Point, which takes forever, but after the game we caught the Mets Express and got back to Manhattan very quickly.

A very nice (and very expensive) day. (Slices of Sbarros pizza were $6 each. A cardboard cup of soda, maybe about ten ounces, $3.75. A Jose Reyes kids size t-shirt for my daughter, $22...)

Tickets are available at fire-sale prices for tonight's game from what I can tell. I even saw one seller advertising Sec X1 Row B (which I believe are the seats directly behind home plate, in the 4th row) for under face value.

In not unrelated news, the low is supposed to be 40 degrees tonight. Bundle up.
