Guest AG/DC Guests Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Roger Clemens making a fool of himself seems to have paid off somewhat. Glenallen Hill, former big-leaguer and current Rockies first base coach, and Rockies reliever Matt Herges, each issued press releases through the team yesterday, saying, in effect, yeah, the report was accurate, and I've used. Sorry.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Glenallen Hill another player that played under Torre....just saying ..
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Well, i don't think Torre per se has anything particularly incriminating hanging over his head. Certainly Radomski being a Met employee is embarassing enough without going after Torre on a guilt-by-association rap, but there's got to be at least eight 2000 Yankees up against it right now.Meanwhile, Met-for-a-minute Gary Bennett is also fessing up:http://canadianpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5jReURxPX-tZeunf5dZkf_xP-MiPQ

soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 ="SteveJRogers"]Close games though4-3, 6-5, 4-2, 3-2, 4-2.Lucky break here or there (looking right AT YOU TIMO!) who knows. But the Mets weren't smoked or anything. No, no, no. When you lose 4 games to 1 you have no right to say that 'We should have won that damn series'. You can say it should have been more competitive or the Mets could have pushed it to a 6th or 7th (maybe) game but that's as much as I'll give you.4-1 means that, yes, they were smoked. Lucky break here or there doesn't make up a 3 game deficit. Sorry boys.
