MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Remember the author who got one of my rememberances into the book "Tales From The Mets Dugout"?He and some other writers are putting together a book on the 1969 Mets. He sent me a draft of the chapter he has written about Rod Gaspar. Here is a brief excerpt:]ROD GASPAR Though his major league career was limited to parts of four seasons, Rod Gaspar was anything but a footnote player. While he played in only one full year in the majors, it was as a World Champion. Gaspar led National League outfielders in double plays while scoring a pivotal run in the 1969 World Series. Wherever he played, Gaspar was known for his spectacular outfield play and his late inning heroics. Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 That's one hell of a "teaser". Did you just exploit his "first serial rights" without his knowledge or permission?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 I'll edit it down for his (and my) protection.Thanks.Later
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Didn't have time to read it this morning, shoulda printed it.
