Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Billy Crudup plays a laconic lovesick heroin addict in in the early 70s. I loved a few scenes including Samantha Morton dancing to "Sweet Pea" -- hOt -- but altogether way too long and I didn't really get it.Reviewers loved this flick, I didn't.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I rented and saw this flick a couple years back although I don't remember what drew me to it at the time.I too thought the 'Sweet Pea' scene was hotI too didn't get the movie itself
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Is the title a reference to the Velvet Underground's "Heroin," in which Lou feels "just like Jesus' son"?
Guest sharpie Guests Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 I saw it in one theater while my daughter and her friend were seeing some cartoon in another one.
