Billy Crudup plays a laconic lovesick heroin addict in in the early 70s. I loved a few scenes including Samantha Morton dancing to "Sweet Pea" -- hOt -- but altogether way too long and I didn't really get it.

Reviewers loved this flick, I didn't.

I rented and saw this flick a couple years back although I don't remember what drew me to it at the time.

Is the title a reference to the Velvet Underground's "Heroin," in which Lou feels "just like Jesus' son"?

I saw it in one theater while my daughter and her friend were seeing some cartoon in another one.
