Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 About as much analysis as one can squeeze out of a 5-game sample from the folks at The Hardball Times as they delve into Pedro's 2007 mini-season
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 ]But it's hard to be Pedro Martinez when you throw as hard as, oh, Josh Fogg, maybe. Actually, since he's been a Met, we've seen that being Pedro Martinez has had little to do with his velocity. Ask yourself (1) how hard was he throwing in 2006 before he fell apart, and (2) how long it typically takes a pitcher to get back to full velocity after such a sugery.
