What was the worst day for each 2007 Met, in alphabetical order?

I'll start with one of the hardest. On second thought, it's kind of easy.

Jon Adkins had his worst and only day throwing a scoreless seventh as the Mets trailed the Nats, 5-2, on July 27 at Shea. His effort wasn't enough, as the Mets would go on to lose 6-2.

After relieving Jorge Sosa to start the inning, Jonny faced the top of the Nats ineup. Felipe Lopez lined out to Wright at third, Ronnie Belliard (who would absolutely kill the Mets down the stretch), flied out to right, and Ryan Zimmerman grounded to third. Poifect?

Not quite! He could have come in earlier, to keep those previous runs from scoring. Had he pitched better at AAA, he might have appeared sooner, contributed more, entered this game while it was still winnable. Did the Mets hit enough? Not by a long shot. But did Adkins help with the bat? To be honest, I'm still waiting for Jon Adkins first contribution with the bat. In this game, in his Mets career, in his big league career, ever.

I didn't see you making any defensive plays out there either. Simply not enough, Jon. This was inarguably Jon Adkins' worst day. What was Sandy Alomar, Jr.'s worst day?

People aren't loving the pain as much as I thought they might.

Sandy Alomar, Jr. had two 0-4 collars in 2007 --- including one with 3 men left on base --- but both came in winning efforts with quality starts. I'm going with a different performance.

By late August, injuries to the Mets top two catchers had bumped Sandy up to second on the team's depth chart. In an August 23rd extra inning loss, Sandy went 0-4 in regulation, including a soft liner to second with two ducks on the pond, banjaxing an inning that otherwise saw the Mets score six of their eight runs.

The team battled, but didn't have enough to overcome a terrible Tom Glavine start --- 11 hits, three walks, and six earnies in five --- that his veteran partner behind the plate couldn't help.

An elelventh inning single leaving him stranded as the tying run redeemed his performance somewhat, but --- batting stats being near equal --- I'm judging a vetaran fourth-string catcher's performance by his pitchers, and I'm calling 8/23 Sandy's worst day.

I'll throw April 28 out there for Mois(t)es(t) Alou as his worst day... in a 12 inning win against the Nats he went 0-6 with a K and 2 GIDPs.

And I'll assume also that he had a big goofy piece of chaw in his mouth the whole time he was up there at the dish.
