Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I was at that silly game last night. Once a year through my wife's company I get crazy good seats between the third base dugout and home plate and last night was it. Chico looked eminently hittable but Frayed is right, that caught stealing seemed to set the tone. I do seem to bring out the worst in the Mets, I think I've now lost 10 of the last 12 games I've been to, all the while they've been a winning team. Sheesh.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Williams might have been one of the failingist failures I've seen in a long Met time. Throwing a mopup inning, with almost nothing at stake for the team, but the last millimeter of his professional life on the line, with a favorable lefty-on-lefty matchup, he gives u a no-doubt-aboout-it jack to a guy suffering through easily the most impotent 2007 season of any established big-leaguer.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
