bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Brian Lawrence gets the start tomorrow. I guess WR would rather have Lawrence, who obviously wasn't great as he was sent down after several starts, was deemed more worthy than Pelfrey or Humber.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Well, Joe Smith is back.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Maybe it's a different Joe Smith.Thats a very common name.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Hey Edgy.I thought I fixed that Wright avatar hat and sent it to you awhile back.I have the newer one right here in my files.I assume you did get the Glavine.Maybe these were lost in the shuffle between boards.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Lo Duca starting today too. Alou too.Im thrilled.Rollins draws a game opening walk.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Nice back up Beltran. Wake UP!!!!
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Burrell K's, but not before Rollins scoots his way to third.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Perez strikesout the side in the 1st!wooohooo.An throwing error by Lo Duke could have ended up costing us, allowing Rollins to get to third. But it don't.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Reyes grounds out to first.Reyes ought to try doing the infield single thing again, that worked.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Philllies broadcasters say:(translated by me from what they actually said into what I type below)1. Adam Eaton sucks, but he don't suck against the Mets.2. If Perez is "on", the Phils will have their work cut out for them, and Perez looked awfully "on" in the 1st.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Wright draws a walk, here's Beltran.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I have a feeling we might see a dugout-emptying brawl today. On edit: this is my 3,333rd post. Just thought that was pretty cool.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 HOW DO YOU WALK THE PITCHER, OLIVER?!?!?!?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 How do you screw up an easy ground ball, Jose?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 JOSE!!!!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Perez Ks 2, but gives up a single and walks 2, including the pitcher, and then Reyes is charged with 2 errors on an easy (tho his vision was blocked by the runner) ground ball off Rollins. One boot for missing the grounder, one for his rushed and errant throw to second.Even the Phils announcers say thats a rare thing, to see Reyes boot one like that. Hasn't happened in 44 games. They called it a "fluke."Utley flys out.Phils up 2-0
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Jose is out of focus. What did Rickey do?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I can't deal with an angry Jose. We need happy, jolly Jose.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Rickey sent David to second, where he got caught and ended the inning.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Junior Ortiz talk in the booth.Apparently he had a stutter.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Alou recognizes and waits nicely on Eatons curve ball, but grounds out hard to 3rd.Alou is 0 fer 1.1-2-3 inning for the phight'ins.Ill edit that Alou gaffaw
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Perez is giving me a heart attack.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 This outing by Perez reminds me of a Sid Fernandez performance in the late 80's.Perez walks Werth and then tosses his glove. He may have twisted his right leg.Bases loaded, one out
