Purpura, who was Gerry Hunsicker's highly regarded long-time assistant, just got booed upon introduction during the Bagwell number retiring ceremony.
Clearly a classless move by the fans - but a sign of frustration over the progress (or lack of) since the change. Even the WS appearance in 2005 could be seen as being the remnants of the Hunsicker regime.

I thought this was about a Mets coaching change....Garner will no doubt show up somewhere as a bench coach or at third or first base.
