Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 (edited) A country rat dreams of a more fulfilling life than scavenging for his existence, secretly longing to be a gourmet chef. When a rain torrent washes him and his colony downstream to the sewers of Paris, he finds his way to the restaurant of his culinary idol and follows that dream, baby. Follows it. Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Enjoyed it. Though about halfway through I'd divorced my wife and tried to marry that CGI chefchick. Zexy hair. This one lacked the punch of "Iron Giant" and the excitement of "The Incredibles" but was pretty good. Not great. The scene where they all drop from the ceiling was fantastic.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Eh.I gave it 2 & 1/2.I liked it okay when I saw it, but it did little to stand out among these types of movies. The true critics are my kids who were also less than impressed.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 The restaurant critic (Anton?) was a great realization.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Pixar has set the bar very high. This was a nice movie, visually beautiful, but it just wasn't as good as most of their previous stuff.2.5 stars from me.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 It was cute - the kids and I saw it over the summer and enjoyed it.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Liked it well enough. 3.5 outta five. I did wonder whether some of the fantastic reviews it got was partly because a critic receives redemption.

We should be comparing this thing to High School Musical, Spider-Man III, and I Know That Other Thing You Did Last Summer, not only to Toy Story and Finding Nemo.
