Pedro make his second starting attempt taking on the Lakeland Flying Tigers ("Every Game Is a Mission!") at Tradition Field at 7:05 tonight.

His last go-around was a rainout and he instead threw a simulated game the next day, throwing a surprising 67 pittches. Let's hope for 75-80 tonight and a bumpup to Binghamton.

Fugly.

He needed me tonight.

On the bright side,

64 pitches, plus 17 more in the pen following the game...and no pain.

5 Ks in 3 innings.

44 out of 64 strikes.

Pedro back on the mound in a game is a good start, the runs allowed didn't bother him and overall he was happy with things.

Lakeland made a vicious logo switch this last season, bound to shake up a few traditionalists (those few traditionalist who care what happens in the Florida State League), but you've got to give them some style points for freaky savageness.

Now there's a childhood nightmare in action.
