Ok, true. I guess you could throw Darling and/or Fernandez out there as potential choices too.

Definetly no one in the 90's or '00s.

Jones had a run of about 5 good years here before he started sucking, at this point Maine is no more accomplished than he was after a year and a half with the Mets.

The key phrase which started this whole discussion was "came of age as a Met", meaning that it's not just limited to those who came up through the system. The ones who first broke through in the blue & orange - like Cone or Meyers - count for the same reason Maine does.
