TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 It's Friday. It's 7:30. It's time for an in-game thread.OAKLANDT. Buck RFM. Kotsay CFN. Swisher 1BE. Chavez 3BM. Ellis 2BS. Stewart LFB. Crosby SSJ. Kendall CL. DiNardo P=blue]METSJ. Reyes SSP. Lo Duca CC. Beltran CFD. Wright 3BC. Delgado 1BD. Easley 2BS. Green RFC. Gomez LFT. Glavine PMets, as per usual lately, are up early. 1-0 after one inning. The boys are showing some energy tonight, it would be nice if they could have that last for nine innings.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Is DiNardo the guy the Red Sox swiped from us in the Rule 5 draft, then hid him on the disabled list for most of the season with "blisters," prompting the Mets to file a protest?
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Server is killing me...weird because it's usually only slow for me in the AM.Glavine is playing chess with the devil and winning so far. Gave up a HR to Stewart, a few other hits and is falling behind a bunch. But he came back from 3-0 against Swisher to K him to end the second and has 3 Ks on the night. He also doubled and scored after a bunt by Reyes was followed by a sac-fly from LoDuca. Mets showing the Athletics how they do it in the NL.2-1 Good Guys, top of 4/
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 i liked Reyes bunting Glavine over only because he's a good threat to reach on the bunt, otherwise i'd hate a bunt in the 2nd inning.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 It's a good thing SNY is doing a program about Roger Clemens' history with the Mets. It's such an ignored subject.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Green goes KABOOM!Woo-Hoo!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 When they initially came back from the break, Gary Cohen wasn't ready and was saying to himself, "Don't swing, Shawn."
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Glavine suddenly cruising...87 pitches through 6 IP.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Glavine collects first 1-2-3 in his last three starts. If this lead gets turned over to Heilman, the pressure on him will be hewj.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Glavine's up around 90 pitches. But if I'm him, I'd hate to give the ball over to our pen.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Oakland defense is on our side.Nice to see Beltran burning.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 2 out of 3 Carlos with an RBI.Your turn, Gomez.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Carlos Delgado with the knockout punch.Last time Carlos drove in Carlos?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 and we're into the weak-ass bullpen, lets tack some runs on!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Green drives in 2 more! 6-1 Mets, I haven't seen this in awhile.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Green is a wrecking crew tonight! 2 more RBI, 6-1 Mets.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 hahah Mets move the runners up on a balk, Glavine drives them both home! 8-1 Mets!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Bullpen can wait...Glavine with 2 Ribbies of his own!!
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Glavine with 2 hits, 2 ribeyes, 7 studly innings and some nice glove work?Heard his weekly interview with M&MD earlier this week and he told Met fans to be patient that it will come back.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Beltran had a great stroke on his broken bat single in the first. If his bat hadn't have broken, that one may have had a chance to go, too.Welcome back, Carlos.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Don't know why that posted twice. But good to see our guy pile on an AL team! Now, if we can do it two nights in a row...
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 The fans booing the shit out of Willie for coming to get Tom, and then a huge cheer.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I missed the first part the first time out, which SNY replayed. The fans gave him a standing O when he came out to the mound. I like. Usually I think New York fans in general are morons, but today I like.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Finally...Two-Hundred-Ninety-Fuckin'-Six!!!For the love of God, let's do this again tomorrow.
