metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Not sure how I feel about this,I can't say I dislike Jones all that much,I guess I will wish him a speedy recovery.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 The Greg CommandmentsDon't Root For Injuries. In Game Five of the 1988 NLCS at Shea, Kirk Gibson slid into second and came up in obvious pain. Mets fans cheered. There, I thought, that's it, we're screwed. Be a human being about these things. Wish no pain on anyone. Wish they enjoy a pain-free three-month stay on the DL instead.(I've got to say there's some internal-logic issues there. A three-month stay on the DL is never pain-free. Wish that your enemies fall before your skills, not before inujurious fates.)

Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Braves surviving day one of Larrlessness by going up by a half dozen on Zambrano who looked like crap and the D behind him not much better.Zambrano and Barrett got into fisticuffs in the dugout after Z's last inning.(I suppose this could go in a new thread of oots or something)oe: It's not really day one, he hasn't played all week

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Zambrano's not doing himself a lot of favors as he goes on his FA-gency season tour. His 5.26+ ERA and near 1.5 WHiP weren't looking too good before today's semi-disaster and a quick scan of his games shows only 2 or 3 good ones out of 11 starts this season. And I don't think yapping the whole season and then punching your catcher helps things much either. It just shows that guys play much better in their walk years ... except when they don't.* Felix the Cat !!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I bet some team throws $100 plus million at him though.....he a hot headed one.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I don't want Larry to be hurt.I just want him to suck.
