metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Delgado is a a walk-off triple and double from the walk-off cycle, has any player ever done that in a season?Trivia - Only 3 Mets have had a walk-off walk and a walk-off home run in the same season: Delgado is one, name the other two.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Wild guesses here:Gary Carter and Mike Piazza.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 Not Mets of recent vintage. One's baseballreference page is sponsored by the Crane Pool Forum,he was once traded to Baltimore by the Mets. The other one was born in Baltimore.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 Swoboda is one..born in Baltimore.....
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Is Bonilla the guy who was traded to Baltimore?

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Bobby Bo sounded right to me too, now that I read the thread.I mean, if it's not one of the half-dozen players we traded for Mike Bordick.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 Bobby Bo is not sponsored by CPF...my trivia player is.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 This is the gamehttp://leaptoad.com/mets/gamedetail.php?gameno=23from the memories section]Bob PMay 13, 2006Warren Spahn took a 2-1 lead to the bottom of the ninth at the Polo Grounds. Gil Hodges led off with an infield single. After retiring the next two batters, Spahn only had to retire Hobie Landrith, a lefty hitter to come away with the complete game win. But Landrith hit his first and only home run as a Met and New York took game one of the doubleheader, 3-2. It was the first one- run victory for the Mets and the sixth win overall in their short history.
