Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 This thread will not mention the Yankees.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 How about the Confederates?Or would that be the Braves, because I'm already sick of them, too.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Remember years ago when you typed &%^$ it showed up as &%^$?Therer were a few others too, I think. &%^$ showed up as &%^$, and &%^$as &%^$.I could be mistaken but &%^$ was also verboten?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I think Steinbrenner was the only other curse word.I don't really hate the Yankees. I hate what he's made them into. With the current site, we can actually alter words. I experimented for a day and made "exactly" always come out as "Pat Zachry" and "leery always come out as "Tim Leary." No humor ensued.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 You weren't supposed to mention the yankees.Anyone here like Faulty Towers....don't mention the Germans.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 Actually it's "Don't mention the war." Masterpiece of comedy.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 After watching that I'm thinking that anyone seeing that for the first time is probably saying "Willets, how can you find a man being virulently racist and making a woman cry to be funny?" But really it's funny in context. Basil Fawlty played by John Cleese is like Archie Bunker in that he is an unrepentant bigot that makes you cringe as much as you laugh. In this scene he's particularly uninhibited because he's left the hospital without permission after receiving some painkillers.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I believe that Clemens was another word that resulted in the curse filter at the old site.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 Also Bud @#*! and John @*#!!er.
