Jim Bethke, Dead or Alive?

I went on ebay looking for an inneresting photo of Jim Bethke of the 1965 Mets and found this ebay listing:

JIM BETHKE DECEASED AUTOGRAPHED 3 X 5 CARD

Now the autograph looks like the one on the color shot I eventually used (and of course WHY would anyone even want to forge an obscure one-year ball player from the 60's) so I don't doubt the authenticity, but checking b-r.com, and the baseballcube.com and of course UMDB and it appears Jim Bethke is among the living. Not sure how much digging Google News is going to be, probably find out the last known place he was living and search obits.

I did send the seller of that card a note asking about if Bethke is deceased or if it was just a guess on the seller's part, I haven't gotten a reply back yet.

The SABR Encylopedia says he's alive and asks politely that you don't make mulitple consecutive posts in a thread that's supposed to have give and take.
