I think Allen Barra bungles the article though. He overestimates Met fan sensibilities and spends most of the time viewing Reyes though Yankee perspective: Mantle, Goldman (his interview expert) and finally Jeter. Which is understandable for a MFY fan but it just doesn't ring true with me.

The article kind of turned into being more about how Jeter is better than Reyes than it is about Reyes.

Terrible article in the sense that is mentioned above,and perhaps Reyes reluctance to open up in interviews is because english is his second language and not because he wants a vail of secrecy to surround him.
