Without checking, tell me which Met was born the day Babe Ruth died.

I'm going to say Teddy Martinez, but I almost hope I'm wrong because if I get this one, no one will believe I didn;t check. This question is almost "Name a young Met on an early 1970s team."

Nobody yet.

He had maybe a few things in common with Ruth also.

I think I remember this one from years ago: Mike Jorgensen?

Jorgensen it is. He breathed his first breath in Passaic, NJ on August 16, 1948, while 16 miles to the north the Babe was breathing his last.

We'll have to get time of death and time of birth to see if they were both alive at the same time, even for a few minutes.

The Ultimate Mets Database, of course, has birth weight and time for all 799 Mets, but unfortunately, nothing on Babe Ruth.
