I remember I had to turn in my 1988 World Series tickets in order to get the refund, and I was a season ticket holder for 1989.

I wanted to keep them as souvenirs, but not at the cost of the face value of the ticket.

(I also seem to remember having 1987 World Series tickets, but I'm not sure about that.)

="Edgy DC"]Yeah, well, the ticket's memoribilia value --- either to the holder or the e-bay shopper has to cancel out some of the value of five months' interest on $150, no?

Granted, the interest isn't much but its the principal of the thing really. If you are a season ticket holder and want to keep your seats and keep your account current I don't believe you have a choice in terms of getting a refund or applying the monies to next season's tix. I think you have to apply it.

Soupy, did you mean the principal or the principle?
Both might apply in this circumstance.

Well, who went?

Since it was a World Series Game 3, I'm guessing Reyes led off the first with a homer?

I speak and write the word 'principal' about a million times a day during the work week so I'm just conditioned to that spelling.

I meant 'principle' in this instance.

True, although that number's a bit low. Closer to the $1500 - $2000 range (2 seats, 3 games, plus the DS Game 5 refund...)
