Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Where did our offense go? Wright's looked terrible, and when he finally has a nice at bat, he blows it, swinging at a bad ball four. Delgado's started going after pitches up and in again.Goddamnit.
Guest KC Guests Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Buck and Tim have me typing shit and then not hitting submit ... looks stupid the day after, win or lose, 'cause they have nothing to do with it.I'm crabby too, talkin' to myself, told KB a half hour ago she's cut off fromasking for updates ... if ya ain't focused, ya ain't gettin' no picture from me.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I've been yelling an awful lot and scaring the cats. And my girlfriend. She's a trooper.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Our offense wouldn't be a problem if our starting pitching could hold a lead.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 My table, my door frame, the bottom of my foot and my forehead are all hurting because of my crabiness. . .the pain only makes it worse. Go figure.I hate baseball.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Score some goddamn runs!!!!!!

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 True. But on Sunday night you could have said the opposite.

soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 They'll win tonight, it'll be 3-3 and then Game 7 will be a dogfight. The saving grace is that it will be a dogfight at home.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I think they'll need two dogfights. But hey, you never know...
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Hopefully a couple of dogs will be gunning for pujols

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Season could be over tonight. If you're going to Shea to root, root hard.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I hate to say this, but it might be the last postseason game ever played at Shea Stadium.I don't think it will though. There should be one tomorrow night, and hopefully more in 2007 and/or 2008.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 You know the odd thing is I'm not bothered so much about losing. That's sad but not crushing. The main thing is I don't want the season to end. I grow so accustomed to having the Mets play almost every day and having the part of the ebb and flow of my life. The offseason sucks and I want to hold it off as long as possible.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 College hoops right around the corner. Its the only thing that gets me through the winter.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Yeah, I do the same thing with college hockey, but it's not the same.
