TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Scoreless streak ends at 25 innings.A Wright error with the sacks packed makes it 2-0 Dodgers going to the bottom of the first.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 Looks like its up to me.My 1st IGT, and before I started it the Mets were already losing. Not the way to start.Maine has a rocky 1st inning.Couplea singles, a walk--but an error by Wright, a bad throw on a grounder that could have got the Mets out of the inning, is how the Dodgers score to open the game.Maine did strikeout 2 in the first.2-0, LA

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 Reyes walks- is moved over by LoDuca, and is thrown out trying to steal 3rd.It was an excellent throw by LA catcher Martin that nabs him.Stealing 3rd down by 2 runs with Beltran at the plate.....mmmmm....I dunno.

He's a terrific player now based on raw skill and talent. Once he has a couple more years of mistakes and experience to learn by...the sky's the limit.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Maine strolls through the second inning with 8 pitches.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 The Dodgers just had the fastest half inning in the history of the game in the 2nd.I looked down to type and the inning was over.1-2-3.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 And now... the Green Monster!!!

Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Argh, home runs for Furcal and Garciaparra.4-0 Superbas.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 Fucal goes yard against Maine.Deep center.Man, he got his arms extended on that swing. And Garciappara smacks one out to left.Mets down 4-0.Oh noooooooooooo-whew---Beltran robs a homer from of JD Drew.Yikes! If the Mets come back and win, I want credit for 2 IGT wins for having the gonads to start an IGT when the Mets were already losing 2-0.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 Hey Val, could you please post (or PM me ) the link to that cartoon.I get no sound here...Id like to watch it with sound and bookmark it as well.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Woody and Milledge don't give me anymore confidence against lefties than Valentin and Chavez.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 Wow-Maine out- Oliver in.Pitching spot in the lineup leads off next inning.Guess they didnt want to squeeze one more out of Maine. And Oliver is greeted with a double.
