]How about Cohen remembering the situation and personnel of his only foul ball caught?

And how about Darling knowing that the guy who hit the foul ball once went 7 for 7 against the Cubs?

I knew that.

Well, I didn't know it was the Cubs.

What I love about Cohen calling a game is that he gets all pumped up even when a guy from the other team makes a great play just like Rollins did now...

Fun reading through this thread. When I logged on to check on the score, we were trailing 4-3. After doing some work and putting together a POTG Poll for last night's game I look and see that we now lead by a 11-5 score. I love these type of moments.

Mota looks like a new man after the trade, he's blowing people away.

Rarely is a surfeit of talent a bad thing.

="Edgy DC"]If this lead holds up, Pedro Felicano --- the world's only three-time Met --- will go to 6-2, 1.92.

Can I get a wow?

I do believe Mr. Feliciano has been quietly putting himself into the running for "Most Pleasant Surprise of 2006" along with Mssrs. Valentin, Oliver and Chavez.

Hard to believe he was one-time freight for Shawn Estes.

I was rooting for Feliciano to make the team over Oliver during Spring Training.

I'm happy with the compromise.

I don't think that can be held against them at all in retrospect.

Game of inches. We may have won by a dozen or so runs, but our two biggest pops would've been outs had the left- and rightfielders been a total of an inch taller.

Those who benefitted from the New York Mets win would like to acknowledge the contributions of Phils manager Charlie Manual, for without his efforts in pulling starter Jon Leiber after just 86 pitches this victory may not of been possible.

I was sort of counting on Charlie's hook to come around an bite him in the butt. There's no point in us trying to build a superior bullpen if our offense isn't making the opposing pen look inferior.

And he went to the pen early with Flash Gordon unavailable. Thanks, Charlie!

Wrights not knockin the cover off the ball lately and I thought that intentional walk to him was a questionable move- but only cuz I wanted to see them pitch to him so he could knock the cover off the ball.
He decided to walk Valentin too.
Dont he know this lineup has no holes in it anymore?

Thanks Charlie!

Or simply better OFers.
Burrell's not as bad as he was when he first came up but still isn't good, and Jose Hernandez is a hastily converted infielder.

The IW to Wright is certainly understandable.
Yeah he's slumping but it's still him vs Jose Valentin and, as it was done to re-load the bases, it was a reasonable strategic move as well.

Ive had the displeasure of seeing alot of the Phils.
Burrell is getting worse and worse in the field as time goes by- and when he first came up he was only adequate.

Both walks were understandable (even if there were 2 outs some managers may have walked Wright there) - I just enjoy seeing an opposing managers strategy backfire.

I say questionable only because I would have gone after him there, myself (but Im no manager, thats for sure). Woulda pitched him off the plate tho, with nothing to hit. Wright was swinging at pitches outta the zone all night. He's pressing.
If he took em for balls, he gets 1st. Or maybe I get a cheap K.

In any case--I still thank Charles.

I actually think that, overall, Burrell's defense has improved over the last couple of years. But that play last night was vintage Pat - he just couldn't get a bead on it at all.
