At one point during last night's game at Shea, I could have sworn that I saw a sign on the scoreboard advertising Brian Bannister Day at Shea on September 6th. Did anyone else see this, or does anyone know anything about it?

Bannister had a nice day in Norfolk today, throwing six innings, allowing just one earned run on six hits and one walk, with five strikeouts.

The one run came on a leadoff homer by Charlotte centerfielder Ryan Sweeney, then Bannister and Orlando Roman shut them down the rest of the way.
