Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 *sigh* ......Still? You're going to keep after this?="SteveJRogers"]="Elster88"]="SteveJRogers"]clearly I was talking off the top of my head.Clearly you were making an assertion that was entirely untrue.I did hear ESPN radio hosts Sunday afternoon wonder why Glavine decided not to pitch on Tuesday for no apparant reasonThis is not making a mountain of anything. What happened after someone told the radio host that Glavine started Sunday?---------------------------This is what you said:"Therefore, as I said later the media blows these things up (usually when its someone like Pedro who doesn't go due to "mysterious" circumstances, especially when not on the actual DL) and its one of their agruments about how the ASG should be fixed and one of their self-fufilling prophesey about how the game has dwindled in interest. In other words its not a big deal that Glavine isn't going, the media makes mountains out of these type of things"My questions:Do you have examples of the media blowing up when a player starts Sunday and can't pitch in the ASG?Do you have a mediot saying the ASG game is fixed b/c a player starts Sunday and can't pitch in the ASG?Do you have an example of the media making a mountain because a player starts Sunday and can't pitch in the ASG?Or is it time to admit that you shouldn't blame the media for what you said, and move on?

All of a sudden the ASG is pro wrestling? ]Do you have an example of the media making a mountain because a player starts Sunday and can't pitch in the ASG?No]Or is it time to admit that you shouldn't blame the media for what you said, and move on?Fine!

Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Perhaps the best example of these guys acting like world cup soccer players when it comes to the ASG is Manny. He played 19 innings last, but he knee hurts too much to take an AB and play a few innings in the field?
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
