Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Being Mookie Wilson reminded me of one of a sign that I saw at Shea. It said "What's a Mookie?". I'm not even sure what it meant, but I still think it's funny.Edit: Screwing with the title.

Guest KC Guests Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 That sign guy holding up a sign that said, "what a loser" but spelled it withtwo o's was an instant classic.Another one, I think it was from the early 80's, when someone drapped a bigsign way way out in the outfield over a a bunch of empty rows of seats thatsaid something like, "Demons be Gone, Exorcise Shea!"
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Favorite Sign: 'Bar Open'Or is this just restricted to those at a ballgame? Both teams used about 6 pitchers each on none were very good and the game became a sort of symbol for the increasingly boom-ball era of baseball.Anyway, the next game some fan holds up a sign reading:'WILL PITCH MIDDLE RELIEF FOR FOOD'
