I wouldn't read too much into that. The pitcher's spot never came up in the order during Heilman's stint and his 3 innings were accomplished with an economy of pitches - more like an inning and a half's worth.
They may move him to the rotation and they may not, but I don't think last night's outing says anything about it one way or the other.

In all liklihood, Garcia has no bearing on the starter decision, he's just an extra arm for the bullpen until we actually need that next starter.

Eddie C was on w/Mike and the Dog this morning. In case you didn't know, Mike and Chris are calling Thursday's game on the FAN as some sort of charity event, with I believe Jeff Wilpon and Omar doing a call-in show after the game. Anyway, Mike and Chris were expecting to call a matchup between Pedro and Brett Myers. Eddie C told them to forget about that idea. Depending on how he does today, they could be calling the major league debut of . . . Mike Pelfrey.
