The Mets sent Pedro Martinez to the mound with a chance to earn a series win on the road against the Brewers. Whenever one of the "big two" of the rotation takes the mound, it feels like a must win game. Unfortunately, a walk off home run by Bill Hall in the bottom of the tenth broke the hearts of mothers all around the New York metropolitan area. His game winner sent the Mets off to St. Louis with a second consecutive series loss to open this road trip.

Who is that man wearing #18 for the Mets and what did he do with Jose Valentin? Jose Valentin went on a tear in Milwaukee and collected 4 hits today to go along with his 4 RBI's yesterday. I think we should trade him to the Brewers for a starting pitcher while his trade value is at it's peak.

No matter how you look at it, this was a bitter defeat that will be hard to swallow. So today's POTG shall receive a six pack of Stones Bitter Beer.
