Ive got such wood for Duaner Sanchez I was tempted to go find what horrible things I said about him and the Mets when we traded for him, only I can't find the thread in our vaults, or the other one.

Little help?

Who else has Duaner wood? What a stylish windup. What enthusiasm!

Ask Bret, he probably knows where to find it. He always seems to be able to recall and use anything that you have said in the past against you.

So...?

I said LoDuca batting second was a horrible, horrible idea.
It was my main off season beef.

Now it looks like no one else should bat second but him.

As far as Sanchez goes--GOGGLES FOR EVERYONE!

Fascinating thread already, isn't it?

And a pretty good one too, with a few good jokes,
a song parody and movie quotes, and some spirited
debate on a hot topic, but not much name-calling and
other crap so typical of more recent threads.

Aspire to the Seo Thread.

By the way, I'm sorry I had to ask for it
because my idea was a quiz where I
cut-n-paste the comments
and challenge the contestants
to match the poster with the remark.

Interesting things: if you believe our esteemed journalistic visitor (Adam, right?), Hillbilly was pretty much dead on that that the Cameron move was something that had to happen before the Mets moved for a big hitter.

A lot of passionate reacting bordering on paranoiac behavior --- but only Valadius goes full hog. Centerfield is using the Cameron-Nady deal as an excuse to refile his complaint about the Lo Duca deal.

I don't like this trade....but I'm not as high on Seo as everyone else is. He had a very good half a year last year. He should be at peak trade value right now.

That said, we should be able to get more than a mediocre reliever for him, no? Maybe not.

I voted dislike. Even though I'm not in love with Seo, I wouldn't have made this deal. A mediocre reliever and a prospect were the return for a decent starter and our own prospect.

I was wrong (at least so far), because I thought Sanchez was "mediocre". At least I didn't curse out this trade the way I did the Benson/Julio deal. Hillbilly and heep are the winners, they liked the trade.

I enjoy my one post in here where I make reference to Cameron.

Let's be careful about declaring winners (or losers for that matter) in trades after jsut two weeks.
These things have a habit of changing either rapidly or eventually.

I have Sanchez at BAA (high) in the predictions.

I like the borderline paranoia. Good drama. It's when peeps surrender to it --- particularly a young man like Valadius with his life ahead of him --- that it gets tragic.

I haven't read back on what I said if anything, but I did post that Duaner is hot looking, so yeah Dickshot I have wood for him......

I don't get this business of reviewing your predictions every couple of weeks to pat yourselves on the back, or kick other people in the ass.

Are your lives really so empty?

Whose life is more empty?

a) the people who have nothing better to do than review their predictions

or

B) the people who have nothing better to do then to say nasty things to the people who review their predictions

Thanks, Elster. That was just what I was looking for. You won't mind if I quote you on that, will you, buddy?

As to the baseball stuff, I'm surprised that I was as mildly querical of Omar as I was in that Seo/Sanchez thread, allowing him the possibility of proving his critics wrong with such a blatent challenge trade. So far, Omar's looking pretty good, though I still have some faith in Seo to turn in a decent year.
