I'm not going myself. But, if anyone wants a copy of this, there is a nice easy "Forward this to a friend" button, so PM me your email address.

Or just register for email from Mets.com. I get about one spam email a day.

I'm always weary about these things, how early do you actually have to get there if you expect to get in?

I last did this in the spring of 2003. It was a cool night, Cone started and Eric Gagne broke Burnitz' hand with a pitch.

Back then, I showed up at maybe 6:00.

With the team playing like they do, and the opponent the Braves...I'd say 5:15, but that's an unscientific opinion.

My daughter and I showed up at around 5;30 last season, and were fans #s 1003 and 1004. We walked home.

I'd show up at noon this year, given the publicity and the opponent.

Actually I wouldn't show up at all.

Didn't the Pepsi promo invite 3,000 fans when they did it? I'm thinking the
bleachers don't look 3,000 people big but for some reason I'm thinking 3,000.

Nope, they cut me and Jenny off at 1000.

I wasn't really questioning your memory but more mine and if the place holds
more why are they only inviting 1,000. No way those aluminum baking sheets
hold 3,000 anyways.

I got the e-mail as well. I have a halfday at work on Tuesday, so I'm thinking about doing it. I'll probably show up around 5.
