nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 the title speaks for itself, should we allow moves every day or once a week?once a week puts everyone on a more level playing field and doesn't give the "internet junkies" and college students with tons of time on the hamds an edge, but at the cost of more participation that some people will have in a daily league.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 btw, for those who may be new to this, you can preset your team player slots and pitching rotation for the whole week (even longer) in one sitting in Yahoo FBB, as well as fine tune it daily. You have to do this in the correct order to assure it is saved properly. You can confirm that it is set up correctly by previewing each day seperately.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2006 Author Posted February 17, 2006 we wont wait forever here either...going daily.
patchyfogg Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 If it's Yahoo, we can do daily moves in advance, right? If that be the case, let's make it daily but make a 162 game max for a position.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 162 game max is a given.... we'll discuss an innings min/max for pitchers once we decide on starter/reliever positions....it has been my experience however that minimums are unnecessary in a 5x5 league (and very necessary in a 4x4.) a maximum is something i think you NEED to have with daily transactions to prevent the "start cycling" that i hate, though in such a large league that shouldnt be an issue anyway.
Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 I don't have the time to make daily transactions for a free "fun" league like this. Too many pitchers and match-ups etc. Weekly transactions make for a much more liesurly pace and friendly league. My two cents
