I was writing that for like an hour (lol) while,....(I hate to admit it), only peeking at the Met game as Im watching the Skanks/Boston contest on ESPN.(3-1 Boston-6th)

That was Rox SS Clint Barmes, who was off to a great rookie season when he got hurt sometime around late May. The initial excuse he gave ws that he slipped on the stairs at his condo carrying groceries. Turned out that he was actually carrying a load of deer meat from a hunting excursion he had gone on w/Rox star Todd Helton. He said he changed his story so as to not drag Helton's name into it.




So who had 'Marlon Anderson' as the answer to the guy who hit the longest Mets HR this year?
He smacked the snot outta that thing - about 1/3 of the way up the right-hand side of the scoreboard for those who didn't see it!!
