Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I've never been a huge Fran fan, of course the rest of the broadcasters around the country suck, we've been spoiled by New York announcers, anytime I listen to a Brave game on TBS/TNT I'm shocked at how bad they are, but then I like to watch TNT for drama and TBS for comedy, those commercials are getting annoying though even though I liked them at first, the ones I'm referring to are "We know drama", and the ones where they rate how funny something is, anyway I'm also curious how this will work out, I'm terrified that DISH network won't carry the Mets' station and I'll be stuck listening to the radio and watching in bars.

SNY will telecast up to 125 regular season games of the New York Mets in 2006. Litner unveiled the logo, location and studio designs at the new SportsNet New York studios (the former CNN studios) located in the heartof midtown Manhattan in the TimeLife building at Avenue of the Americas and 51st Street. Time Warner Cable, Comcast Corporation and SterlingEntertainment Enterprises are the owners of SNY. The network will be launched in Spring 2006. In addition to telecasting125 regular season games of the New York Mets, SNY will also telecastpre-season games and have a full winter schedule. Starting in the fall of2006, SNY will be the home for up to 30 college football games and up to 85 college basketball games featuring teams from the nation's leadingconferences, including The Big East and Big Ten. SportsNet New York will offer a full sports news and informationoperation. The heart of the operation will be in a state-of-the-art multiplestudio facility in midtown Manhattan. All home games of the Mets, and select away games, will be shot in HD with the highest picture resolution in the industry.
