metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Oh I'm very interested, thnks for the score, here's what I want to happen, the Indians win the WC, the MFY and the Red Sox go into Sunday's game all tied, Schilling throws a gem and they MFY's are done....what time is the game Sunday?
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Oh I'd much rather see the Red Sox clinch before Sunday and have the Yankees play a meaningless game or two.I have a feeling, though, that the Yankees will still be alive on Sunday morning. And my fear is that they'll be in a better position than the Red Sox.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 3-1 Boston, heading for the 9th.Timlin in to face Hinske, Menechino & Hill.Hinske grounds out.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Adams PHing - KsKoskie PHing - 1BsGross - GOTemporarily, there's a 3-way tie between the Yanx, seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians" & Sawxbtw, ESPN apparently IS going to televise some Sunday afternoon games, games to be decided based on need. Needless to say, the NYY/Boston game will be their first choice for those of you outside the NY/NE area.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Timmy finishes it up. Solid outing. A lot less offense from the Sox than you'd think but also a lot less of a bullpen implosion. Personally, I want the Sox to cruise into the series with a comfortable 3-game lead, win the first game against the MFY, then send their scrubs out to finish the next two. I think it would be humiliating for the Yankees to end their season playing against AAAA guys.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 OotS for the 28th, Ramon Hernadez just hit a grannie and the Padres lead the Giants 9 to 6...
