Nope. Nope. And not Ramon Martinez either.

Maybe it's time for some clues.

Seven names remaining:
  • There are two guys who share the same last name, but they're not related.
  • There's another who's dead at the present time. (He died earlier this year.)
  • One whose brother was also a big leaguer, but not as successful.
  • Another started and ended his career with the same NL team, but spent the bulk of the middle of his career with another NL team.
  • Another pitched for only one team in a career that spanned three decades.
  • And the last guy is a Cy Young winner who never pitched in the post season.

Has anyone mentioned Rick Wise yet (but I can't fit him into one of the clues)?

OK, I'll go with Lee Smith for a reliever, having had a considerable tenure with both Chicago and St. Louis.

I'll assume he's the name sharer, so I'll go with Zane, his twin of a different mother.

I'm jammed on the 22-year guy.

Lee is one of the Smith Brothers, but Zane isn't the other.

I don't know what you mean about 22 years. Here's the clue for the remaining guy whose name isn't Smith:

He started and ended his career with the same NL team, but spent the bulk of the middle of his career with another NL team.

We have the 22-year guy (Gibson). It's the guy who started and ended his career with one club but pitched a bunch in the middle for someone else.
