-Traded for Class-A pitcher
-Can play SS (meaning Christian Guzman can stop embarassing self and just sit) and 2B (relief for Vidro, who's playing hurt)
-Hitting .268 in 81 games for SF (.301 OBP, 5 HR, 19 RBI)
-Batting .314 vs. leftys

I belive Washington now leads the leauge in 'Deivi' factor.

Cruz is hardly the impact type bat the Nats need but still he'll be a big upgrade over Cristian Guzman who has been a bust.

There really are no impact bats available anyway (especially with the Griffey rumors finally squashed), so they're taking their help where they can get it. Its a good move for them.

Besides his performance in the Kris Benson/Mike Jacobs game, Guzman has been HORRIBLE.

Booing and razzing the guy into oblivion is stupid and mean. I don't care if he's hitting .090. It's been a nasty thing to watch.
