Taking the NL silver medal isSILVER MEDAL: JOSE REYES, METSYeah, he needs to walk more. And get on base more. And yada-yada-yada. But when Reyes is on base, he's the most mesmerizing player in New York.SPEEDY STATS: Leading the league in steals -- so he could be the first Met ever to do that, and the first New Yorker to lead the NL since Willie Mays (as a Giant) in 1957. ... Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Does every greyhound race have eight dogs?Or does every race have seven dogs? I don't know if he's saying that Jose would intrude on a full field of seven greyhounds, or if he'd be one of the standard eight greyhounds. There's a lot I don't know about greyhound racing.I know that in horse racing, the size of the field can vary. I would have thought the same would be true with dog races, but maybe I'm wrong.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Bugs Bunny used to really mess with those greyhounds during a race.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I never bought that Bugs was hot for a dog-track rabbit.
