Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Haven't seen the footage yet, not sure if I want to, just heard descriptions on both the game, and on 1050 ESPN radio. But that was the first thing that came to mind. Just awfulSteve
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I don't think you want to see the footage. Just go back and watch Wright's barehand catch from the other day.Memories of Terry Blocker and Danny Heep (I think) also.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I think Dickshot was at the game. The most damaging Met head-on collision I recall was between Lee Mazzilli and Dan Norman.
Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 At least we can laugh about Dykstra and Willson almost "kissing" (well thats how that oft-repeated replay makes it look) that time where to quote Len Berman "No one got hurt"Steve
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I was at that Hahn/Theodore game ... it was pretty violent but it didn't involve heads. The biggest damage of that collision was Stork's hip.Ralph Garr hit that ball (and then circled the bases).
