Haven't seen the footage yet, not sure if I want to, just heard descriptions on both the game, and on 1050 ESPN radio.

But that was the first thing that came to mind. Just awful

I don't think you want to see the footage. Just go back and watch Wright's barehand catch from the other day.

Memories of Terry Blocker and Danny Heep (I think) also.

I think Dickshot was at the game.

The most damaging Met head-on collision I recall was between Lee Mazzilli and Dan Norman.

At least we can laugh about Dykstra and Willson almost "kissing" (well thats how that oft-repeated replay makes it look) that time where to quote Len Berman "No one got hurt"

I was at that Hahn/Theodore game ... it was pretty violent but it didn't involve heads.
The biggest damage of that collision was Stork's hip.


Ralph Garr hit that ball (and then circled the bases).
