metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Edgy I know first base is bad but we have to have some one playing the postition, maybe Anderson?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Victor gets throught the first inning, Reyes flies out to Lawton.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 The Mets lead 2-0 after two innings.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Two in the books, we hold to the 2-0 lead.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Anderson a nifty play at first.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Anderson is indeed playing first.Dag nabbit, I'm blocked out.Fellas, this isn't a national broadcast. It's a national cablecast. I don't subscribe to cable. I subscribe DSL service and MLB video. Where's my game?
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Full of Mets, and David Wright...
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 And Jose gets his 20th straight game.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Zambrano goes down with a back injury. The Cubs' Zambrano.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Beltran, just when he was tied for the lowest average in the batting order, singles against the new Cub pitcher Wuertz (huh?).Licky-boom-boom down!OE: Floyd singles him around to third while I'm typing l-b-b. d.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Ground-out RBI by Wright makes it 5-0.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Victor doing it without strikeouts again tonight.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Nuova now pitching for Chicago. This is the Bullpen of Extraneous U's.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 What a difference 5 days makes.4 HRs inside 2 innings on Tuesday vs 3 singles thru 7 tonight
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Hey, just think if we had held onto one of those leads against Milwaukee.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Or both.Of course, The Better Zambrano is partially to blame for that.Eighty pitchers through seven and he has a shot to finish.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Floyd "ruins" our singles only streak.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 I tuned into this game in the third inning and heard that Zambrano was struggling and though the worst. It was nice to hear that it was the OTHER Zambrano.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 He survives the eighth.Let him hit, Willie.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Victor has looked sharp tonight. Carlos was pretty wild and couldn't get the third strike on hitters. The Mets hitters repeatedly fouled off 2 strike pitches. Carlos had thrown around 80 pitches in his 3 innings of work. Of course, his defense did little to help him out. I'm just glad the correct Zambrano pitched well tonight.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Offerman to pinch hit.Hey, Willie, nothing personal but... BOO!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 ]He survives the eighth with the shutout intact.Umm, no he didn't.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Great effort from Victor Zambrano tonight. Looks like Heilman will come out to finish this one off.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Another nice pick by Anderson for our number one, and an efficient K by Heillman for the second.
