metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Yeah Mattie got a bit excited with the dogs, but his overall work is impressive I think, this is where the Mets bust out big time..
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Reyes leads off with a stand-up triple.Yes, I was hoping he'd go for four.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Crap check-swing call on Cliff.Chance for a big inning here.Floyd trips!Exschmellent!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Wright plates him with a sacrifice fly.Outschtanding.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Floyd scores the third run of the inning on Wright sacrifice fly to right. The Mets sieze the lead 3-2.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Ground rule double by Piazza. I wanted to see him join the triple club.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Hey Acevedo, perfect game this. The hit parade continues with a double by Piazza.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 'Rado recaptures the lead.Jose Reyes was just tip-toeing toward the mound as if he was going to do the Timo Perez running bunt.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Cameron nearly inside-outs a homer, but foul.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 How about Glavine not put on the leadoff guy this time.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Good inning, time to hit again.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 I wonder how many Met fans watching this game are looking at Todd Helton and hoping the Mets drive him off the lot when they leave town.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Yeah, Beltran looks pretty stinky.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Prior to Cammie nearly inside-outing a homer, Reyes beat out a routine grounder to shortstop. The guy can fucking fly, but I'm still waiting for his hamstring to come flying off and be trailing behind him one day.Something else that was unusual but amusing when I was away from the comp:The batter camera caught a great shot of a moth flying in front of the catcher and ump, crossing home plate from right to left looking from the mound, and straight into Minky's eye. Slo-mo and everything. That might be on SportsCenter tomorrow.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Not looking good. I hope to wake up in a better mood.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Wow, I was on the phone for well over an hour and missed a bunch of stuff, including the Bark in The Park interview. Didn't someone else do that this year? And now, since I am the only one here, I am going to bed.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 I guess the lesson for us is that Mike DeJean is always a good pitcher for his second team each season.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Santiago getting the call in the seventh. Still 5-3 Mountains.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Santiago joins Cairo on the Mets all-capital team.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Helton pulls up going from first to third, and he won't be a Met this year.Ex-Met Desi Relaford and his tiny head come out to pinch-run.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 I'm pooped. Curse you rain delay.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 The Rockies look to Brian Fuentes to close it out.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Beltran goes down hacking at bad pitches. One out.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Floyd pops out and nobody seems to have a clue what Fuentes is throwing. Two out.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Not Wright. He drives an 0-2 fastball to left and brings Piazza up as the tying run.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Wow. Piazza gets a 2-0 inside fastball to drive, but shatters the handle of his bat instead as he flies to left to end the game.
