Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Jesse GonderI have no idea who Jesse Gonder is. When I saw that I was now Jesse Gonder, my first thought was "What the hell is a Jesse Gonder, and how the hell is he so high on this rankings list?" I thought maybe someone made him up. But it turns out he was a real player. With a real black & white photo on the UMDB. So I'm here doing my job as an Associate Photo Archivist for the UMDB. It's all good. Sorry, Jesse, that I never knew who you were. He's another case of a guy who was the most popular lookup on the UMDB only once; a few days after he died, last November.
Guest TheOldMole Guests Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 From memory - not looking it up...wasn't Jesse Gonder, like Vic Power, on track for being the first African-American Yankee?
