ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10 Posted May 10 The optics on Austin Slater not running out a ball he thought was headed foul should get him dfa'd but he is actually a very important member of the team so no....
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Sankes get three straight hits with 2 out/runner on 1st. Mets, in the same situation, last four pitches: S, S, B, K
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10 Posted May 10 The Mets could impress the crap out of me by putting up something in the 9tj

The grievous sarcasm in this thread is thick. Soto has peppered right field with some great volume of flyouts this series. But really, the flyouts are frequent all around.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Especially at age 41 A mighty blow by Vientos forestalls the inevitable but it does cause Luvello to pull his starter for the sin of giving up a bloop. Never understood that logic: a hard out and he'd likely stay, but a soft hit and he's gone.

Without being sarcastic I hope Cohen realizes this guy is not that smart and doesn't think the manager is the basic problem but Stearns is and if you're thinking thinking of firing anyone Stearns needs to go in whatever changes are made.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Rather than DFA Slater for not running, I'd prefer to punish Melendez for swinging at the first pitch (an apparent ball).
