Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Fridays are great in spring, because that is when we do early evening games. The Nationals are starting Zack Littell, no known relation to Mark Littell, and the Mets are going with TBA, known relation to ****in' A.[FIMG=500]https://assets.nationbuilder.com/columbia22/pages/3406/attachments/original/1737503670/tsengnkrnypi1gi7isjn_1_.jpg?1737503670[/FIMG]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 Game delayed a bit by inclement weather, but we're underway with Carl Edwards, Jr. getting the start.Carson Benge leads off and whiffs. Release him NOW!!!!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 13 Posted March 13 1) Not sure why 3/7 and 3-13 are in the subject heading2) they're also playing the Marlins tonight.Scoreless thru 3 but Senga threw a perfect 3 with 5 Ks on only 37 pitches
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 1) Not sure why 3/7 and 3-13 are in the subject heading Autofill and stupidity. Corrected. Added Marlins matchup as well for double-fisted IGT action.Baty double and Mauricio RBI put the Mets ahead in wherever it is the Nats train.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 Four shutout innings by Carl Eddie Jr cannot be ignored at this stage of the spring. Bryan Hudson is in serious danger, lack of options be damned. Also continuing to be awesome is Ryan Lambert, who struck out three around a walk in his lone inning. I still expect he'll be farmed out, but he remains a man without an ERA.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 While the largely A-Team squad hosting Miami got shut out, it did feature a very encouraging three perfect innings by Kodai Senga to start off, as he struck out five hapless Fishies.Clay Holmes took the loss, but pitching the final five innings and giving up one run on two hits while fanning six is a pretty good way to lose, if losing is what you've got to do.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I wondered about 3/7 also but I thought it was code
