Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Off to the Nationals on a minor league deal. Final Mets line: 6 years, 12-13 W-L, 191 G, 3.48 ERA, 115 ERA+, 9.3 K/9Not too shabby.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I liked Smith. He was pretty effective, when healthy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Long legacy for a guy without a complete big-league season. Or even a half-complete season, really. And two seasons missed entirely.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Also, the Mets got Drew from Tampa Bay for Lucas Duda, so this represents the end of a term of service that goes all the way back to 2007.

Wish him all the best, except if facing the Mets.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 I also remember the trade with Duda and how he was one of the few connections to those mid-2010s teams left. I remember always thinking it odd how, out of all pitchers, they stuck with Drew Smith for so long for some reason.
